Engineering Experience

Molly McDonough is a full-stack software engineer with experience building scalable web applications, automation systems, data pipelines, and customer-facing platforms across healthcare, finance, aerospace, agriculture, and small business domains. Her technical background includes Python, TypeScript, React/Next.js, Django, Ruby on Rails, SQL, cloud infrastructure, and modern API integrations.

She currently works as a Software Engineer with Charles River Data, where she develops end-to-end solutions for clients ranging from startups to established businesses. Her work includes building resilient ETL pipelines, architecting CMS and e-commerce platforms, integrating authentication and payment systems, and translating ambiguous operational problems into scalable, maintainable technical systems.

Molly has also adopted modern AI-assisted and agentic development workflows to accelerate prototyping, debugging, implementation, and product iteration while maintaining strong engineering standards and code quality. She is particularly interested in the evolving intersection of software engineering, automation, developer tooling, and AI-enabled workflows.

Prior to consulting, Molly worked in high-performance technical environments at Broadway Technology, supporting enterprise trading infrastructure responsible for over $100 trillion in annual trading volume, and at Moog Inc., contributing to engineering analysis and validation workflows for commercial aircraft systems.

She thrives in collaborative, fast-moving environments and brings a strong combination of engineering problem-solving, product thinking, and client communication. She is currently seeking a full-time software engineering role focused on full-stack development, platform engineering, developer tooling, or scalable web infrastructure, and is also available for select freelance and consulting engagements.
